We are providing three options for service, in-person inside, in-person outside, online Zoom. In addition to state and county regulations, Spark is making an effort to adhere to the policies of Congregation Etz Chayim, our landlord. Please read below for how to attend:

1. Please come healthy

If you are feeling ill or have a fever, we kindly request you join us for our service online (see below).

2. Masks are required for the unvaccinated

In-person who attend indoors who are vaccinated may choose whether they wish to wear a mask indoors.

3. Choose indoor or outdoor (online below)

INDOOR: We will be spacing out seating in the sanctuary, limiting attendance to 50% capacity (Sparkers should feel free to arrange chairs in the room), and opening all doors and windows to maximize airflow.

All food and drink items will continue to be served and consumed outside.

OUTDOOR: Masks are encouraged, but not required. Seating will be available on the patio with both video and audio support. Bring your blanket, beach chairs, or any other items for your attendance.

(We have plans of moving our services to outdoor when weather permits.)

4. Wear a bracelet

Three different colors and two different sizes (adult and child) will be available for you to take when you arrive. Please keep whatever band you take (they're a free gift), and you may obviously change colors at any time. The goal of this system is to provide a no-pressure, guilt-free, and simple way for Sparkers to communicate with each other about their own levels of comfort.

The hospitality team is currently providing prepackaged items in addition to our coffee cart and water. You are welcome to bring snacks, however, please ABSOLUTELY NO PORK OR SHELLFISH. For now, we are kindly asking that all food and beverage items be consumed outside.

6. Children/Families

In addition to accessibility to the outdoor playground, we will be offering children's programming during services outdoors (weather permitting) and indoors in the Spark "Play Room" with open doors and a HEPA filter (MERV rating 11 or greater).

For any parent or volunteer who will be in the room with children, we are requiring proof of a COVID vaccination to be on file in addition to having passed a background check. Please email your vaccination proof to debby@spark.church. Any additional questions about children's programming, contact Pastor Mark@spark.church.

Online Services

7. Grab (and take) a rapid test

Provided by the state of California, these free tests are distributed outside in the courtyard during Sunday services. Sparkers are welcome to take tests prior to attending services or activities, and/or take a test or two home to take prior to attendance. Contact debby@spark.church if you have any questions regarding these tests.
